Speaking Engagements
AN EMAIL RECEIVED March 26, 2014 (Alyeska, Alaska)
Hi Suzette, a note to thank you for a special weekend. Your presentation was enlightening and on target for me. There is much food for thought and it will take awhile to process it. I appreciated the informal sessions and our easy accessibility to you. I was glad that so many of the group participated actively. Everyone seemed to like the topics and the depth of the subjects. I am already planning ways to have you return. So enjoyed spending time with you. I liked being able to show off the beauty of Alaska, especially the places you have not been. Come again for pleasure and bring Dave. Take care, stay safe. Love and prayers, Mary Ellen
SPEAKER EVALUATIONS FALL 2013 (Leavenworth, WA)
#1 Was the speaker engaging and easy to follow? I found her to be very easy to follow and found myself enjoying listening to her presentation right from the beginning.
Was there anything gained that has caused lasting change in your thinking or actions? Not to let the heartbreaks of my past rule in my present or keep me from moving ahead in the future.
What do you wish there had been more of, or less, of? I was really sorry when each session ended. They seemed so short this year. Or maybe it’s because I was so involved in the presentation. I would have liked them to be a little longer.
Would you want to hear Suzette speak again? Absolutely!!
#2 Was there anything gained that has caused lasting change in your thinking or actions? I’d like to think I’d already learned to be content but perhaps I was too content for I realized I wasn’t growing and being transformed but rather clinging to some of my “blind spots.”
Was the content scripturally founded? If not, please explain. I found the content to be primarily scripture. For me this was not only the most redeeming part but also the most difficult. Redeeming because there was no doubt the content was scripturally founded. Difficult because so often we want someone to spoon feed us how to interpret and apply that scripture rather than simply show us the path and expect us to walk it ourselves.
Would you want to hear Suzette speak again? Yes, I would.
#3 Was the speaker engaging and easy to follow? Suzette was very engaging
Were her points clear and helpful? Yes
Was there anything gained that has caused lasting change in your thinking or actions? Taking control of my thoughts – Not letting my mind linger on things that are not pleasing to the Lord.
Would you want to hear Suzette speak again? Absolutely!
