In the first week of this transformative course, we lay the groundwork for understanding and overcoming fear and anxiety. Module 2: Calming Your Heart to Calm Your Mind

Module 3: Mastering Your Mental Fitness
In this module, we delve into the power of your thoughts and their impact on your brain health and overall well-being. You'll learn about the concept of neuroplasticity and how it empowers you to change your brain. We’ll do a deep dive into how negative patterns of thinking can sabotage our mental health and look at a simple solution that, when implemented repeatedly, will change your brain - thanks to neuroplasticity!
By the end of this module, you'll have practical strategies for improving your mental fitness by strengthening positive neural connections which reduces anxiety and builds a more positive and resilient mindset.
Module 4: Mastering Your Mindset
In this module, we focus on recognizing negative thought patterns and will help you get a handle on what is causing them. When you can spot negative thoughts fast, you can learn to change them quickly. And by developing strategies to challenge and reframe them you will create the environment your brain needs to grow in mental fitness...
In the “Mastering Your Mindset” module we will integrate all of the concepts learned so far and introduce a simple strategy to help you take your thoughts captive, calm your heart, and shift your attitude. By the end of this module, you will be equipped to control your thoughts, be empowered with tools to reduce anxiety and cultivate a positive and resilient mindset.
Module 5: Building a Healthy Brain: Lifestyle Choices That Matter
In this module, we explore the four interconnected circles of brain health: psychological, biological, spiritual, and social. You'll learn how lifestyle factors like nutrition, sleep, exercise, and lifelong learning can significantly impact your mental fitness. We'll delve into what neurotoxins are, where they come from, and the harmful effects they have on our brain and our mental health. We will provide practical tips for reducing your exposure and share strategies for detoxing. You'll also discover the power of nutritional psychiatry, a field of medicine that is exploding, and how food choices can influence your mood and cognitive function.

There will be an opportunity to ask questions about the week’s material and depending on the number of participants, there will most likely be break out groups. You will be provided with prompts for discussion and have the opportunity to interact with others enrolled in the course. Yes! While the lessons are pre-recorded, Suzette, your instructor will conduct weekly Zooms. You'll also have the opportunity to connect with fellow participants through a dedicated Discord community. You can share your experiences, ask questions, and receive support and encouragement from others on the same journey.
